A nice little day in Boston.

Megan and I were up super early to get into the city and pick up our packets. We wandered for a while and I thought I saw a familiar face on the steps of the library. Luckily RR posted a photo of her shoes this morning so I was a little more sure it was her! The three of us spent what felt like an eternity waiting for the race to begin, but eventually we were off.

I lost the girls quickly, duh. I had a decent race. Unfortunately I was battling an irritated stomach the whole time which made it frustrating. I kept up a decent run/walk for most of the race and it seemed to go by pretty quickly. The last stretch had some good crowd support and it was great running through the marathon finish line!

Soon after we hit up the expo to oooh and ahhh over all the pretty running gear. It was great to meet more of the Internet, but we lost them almost immediately inside the convention center, it was crazy in there.

There were lots of different vendors, free samples, and we scored free Nissan shirts and the chance to win a car! We saw Olympian Ryan Hall and some crazy guys on a trampoline.

Megs and I grabbed lunch at Whiskey’s and wandered back to the Pru. We debated a duck boat tour, but it wasn’t worth waiting 2.5 hours.

Now we’re out of the city and will venture out later to make some friends at a local sports bar.

Tomorrow we spectate and scream like crazy for those wackos running the marathon!!
